Calculate the pressure difference (ΔP) measured by a U-tube manometer.
Last updated: March 2026 | By ForgeCalc Engineering
A manometer is a device used to measure pressure differences. In its simplest form, it consists of a U-shaped tube partially filled with a fluid of known density.
When a pressure difference is applied across the two ends of the tube, the fluid level shifts. The height difference (h) between the two columns is directly proportional to the pressure difference.
