If the image size is 12 and the object size is 3, the magnification is 4.
Why is the object value restricted?
Division by zero is undefined, so the object value cannot be zero.
Can the ratio be less than 1?
Yes. If the image value is smaller than the object value, the magnification factor is below 1.
Does the calculator accept decimals?
Yes. Any finite real values are accepted in either mode.
Why do both modes use the same division formula?
This calculator treats magnification as a simple ratio, with the labels changing to match the context.
