Calculate the magnetic force between two parallel current-carrying wires.
Last updated: March 2026 | By ForgeCalc Engineering
When currents flow in the same direction in two parallel wires, the magnetic force between them isattractive.
When currents flow in opposite directions, the magnetic force between them isrepulsive. This is a fundamental result of the interaction between the magnetic field of one wire and the current in the other.
