Calculate the trajectory of an object launched horizontally from a height.
Last updated: March 2026 | By ForgeCalc Engineering
Horizontal projectile motion occurs when an object is given an initial horizontal velocity and then allowed to fall under the influence of gravity. The horizontal and vertical components of the motion are independent.
The horizontal velocity remains constant (ignoring air resistance), while the vertical velocity increases linearly with time due to gravitational acceleration.
