Measure the thickness of a human hair using laser diffraction and Babinet's Principle.
Babinet's Principle states that the diffraction pattern from an opaque body is identical to that from a hole of the same size and shape. By shining a laser at a hair and measuring the distance between the resulting dark fringes on a screen, we can calculate the hair's diameter with high precision.
