Calculate the speed of an electron accelerated through an electric potential difference.
At low voltages, the classical formula (derived from kinetic energy = potential energy) is accurate. However, as the voltage increases, electrons reach speeds comparable to the speed of light.
For voltages above a few thousand volts, relativistic effects become significant. The electron's mass effectively increases, and it can never exceed the speed of light (c).
