While we focus on the cost of a single fill-up, the total fuel consumption of a vehicle over its entire life is staggering. This calculator helps visualize the cumulative impact of driving habits and vehicle efficiency.

By multiplying annual mileage by the car's lifespan and dividing by its fuel efficiency, we can see the true cost of ownership and the environmental footprint of a single automobile.

Cost = (Miles × Years / MPG) × Price

We first calculate the total miles driven over the car's life, then find the total gallons required, and finally multiply by the average price per gallon.
